Why? The FSB? That's the only difference right?Big.Wayne said:but if your mobo can do 480MHz-FSB+ then the e6300 would most likely end up faster.
Yeah FSB and memory!joeyjojo said:Why? The FSB? That's the only difference right?

Straight in at 400FSB to give 2.8Ghz, stable on stock volts. Very happy so far. Now to try for 3Ghz![]()

i thought you had to gradually go to 400FSB or is it safe just to go there straight away?
what settings did you use to get to 400FSB?
thanks
MeatLoaf said:Well yes usually you should do it gradually, but i knew this board was capable of 400FSB and id have been very suprised if the CPU couldnt do 2.8Ghz. Plus having DDR2 800 RAM means the RAM isnt overclocked at all yet.
wiggyuk said:I thought this board could do 1066MHz so why you worrying about 400MHz FSB ?
MeatLoaf said:1066Mhz is stock as its 266 quad oumped to 1066.
mines running a 1600 at the moment 4x400![]()
