I'm looking for a good solid cross-trainer machine. Something that isn't going to fall apart after a few months. Can anyone suggest a good make and model?

Thanks :)

Can't suggest a model but at the gym they have fitness-first ?

These are used continuously and never seem to break down.
Infact, I accidently marked one with a set of keys and that was nearly 2 years ago, it's still there, so they haven't replaced it :)

look at "life fitness" range, they are the Rolls Royce of gym gear, expensive but they are designed to run 24/7 and come with big guarantees. All the big gym names use them (David Lloyd, Fitness First etc etc).

LOAM

have to agree with life fitness.

which mod has the balls to move this thread to SA then ;]

My Dad has a Life Fitness treadmill and even though it's about 15 years old now it is the dogs. It weighs more than the sun though :p

How much are you looking to spend Spie you can spend as little or as much as you want on a cross trainer personally i would go with a Commercial model from life fitness;)
