Just wondering which way to go, At the moment im running a A64 3200 at 2.2Ghz, OcUK Value 7800 pro 1 meg of Geil ram on a A8n-E mobo. I dont usually overclock due to the fact that im useless at it but-

Should i stick with the Mobo and buy a x2 4200 and 2 Gig of ram or go with something like one of the bundles.

Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6300 1.86GHz Retail
Gigabyte 965P DS3
1GB GeIL PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Kit - Bundle

But substitute the ram for 2gig of the value stuff.

Mainly I only play a few games, listen to music and browse the net. Any ideas with a budget of around £350.

If you are getting new CPU and new RAM anyway then you might as well add a little extra and go C2D:

Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
£101.99
(£119.84)

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK)
£95.99
(£112.79)

**B Grade** Gigabyte GA_965P_S3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
£40.00
(£47.00)

Sub Total : £237.98
Shipping : £8.25
Vat : £43.09
Total : £289.32

It's cheaper than you think

Add a Tuniq Tower / Scythe Ninja / Freezer 7 pro / Noctua NH-U12F if you want to overclock.

Seen the "B" grade stuff before whats the story on that, is it worth buying. I've got to do this slyly dont want the missus to find out :D

B grade usually means customer returns or those with boxes damaged...etc. They come with basic packaging and little / no accessories. You can still return the item if it doesn't work. For the price I think it's well worth it, you don't need the box anyway if you don't want your other half to find out ;) .

If you want to spend a little bit more on mobo get the P5B-E Plus or the DS3P.

Ok Cheers guys one last question,

I've got the XP64 3200 Winchester (in this machine), My old MSi K8N neo 2 Platinum Mobo doing nothing and this ram 1 GB (2x512) Pc4000 ultra platinum ram which is in this machine. Will this ram work with that Mobo. If it will it will kill 2 birds with one stone to speak as my daughters XP1700 has just given up the ghost.
