I have a HD 4890 Vapor-x 1GB, which is obviously a Directx10 graphics card.

I recently installed the full Windows 7 and so i used DXDiag to see which version of DriectX was installed, to ensure that it was DirectX10 so that i was getting the most out of my card.

Now, to my surprise, DXDiag shows Directx11, Not 10.

Does anyone know why this is?

Thanks

You have directX version 11 installed, but your graphics card will not execute directX 11 specific instructions games (when they eventully become available). This is perfectly normal.
