Which display port cable for 144hz?

To whoever is reading this,

Which display port cable for a 144hz monitor would you recommend?

At the moment i have a nvidia gpu the gtx 1070 so freesync won't work but will it run at 144hz more importantly?

The reason being is that i want a cable that supports up to 144hz you see.

it should come with a DP cable anyway as standard, which will work fine up to 144Hz

Well the only thing is that I hope the cable is long enough that is my only concern.

All my cables have been 2m in length when supplied with a monitor.

Thanks that will be long enough just have to move pc tower closer to the monitor.

Right well i have just pulled the trigger and bought that monitor.

Looking at display port cables and i have learned there are different versions of the same cable.

v1.2 or v 1.3 or v1.4.

Yeah well my monitor arrived this morning.

The supplied cable does the job at running the monitor at 144hz.

My god there is a big difference between 60hz and 144hz the motion clarity is much much better.

have to be careful with some of the cheaper display port cables.

Some of them have pin 20 live so they feed back power from the monitor into your GPU.

Its pretty hard to determine which ones are affected by this as most of the retailers selling them dont know and it is never detailed in the product descriptions.
