My birthday soon and i've been offered a new hard drive of my choice at around £55.

My situation is my current drive is quickly running out of space and I need one to just stash loads of files on. But I will be formatting in the near future and I thought I may aswell install Windows on the newer, faster drive and use my current one as a simple storage point.

I've picked these two out:

And I was wondering which is better and if there are any better ones for the money?

Go for the Seagate, it's the quicker of the two and has a 5 year warranty. The 320Gb version offers a better Gb/$ ratio but it's a bit more expensive.

Rightio, cheers. Will just see what the parents say about the extra cost. It's just been christmas and all, not sure if they'll be rolling in it at the moment ;) :D
