Which dslr for a £1k budget

The current issue of digital camera magazine (with a black and white pier on the front cover) has a £1000 SLR shootout. Their winner was the Canon 7D.
 
D7000 > 7D for everything but burst rate and buffer.
When it comes to IQ, 7D is a dog with fleas...

Edit:
I can't remember the name of it, but someone also posted a conclusion from either the same or another joke magazine that concluded 60D > D7000.
