@BowdonUK so i have 1760 deliveries on just-eat & over 1000 on Deliveroo & around 20 on uber eats

Uber eats - if you they dont find your address in 15 minutes the driver can cancel your order & you cannot get a refund. I had many arguments with restaurants & uber eats & lost money, (driver told me this)

Deliveroo - is the best for restaurants you don't trust as you can get a refund much easier they normally honour cold or incorrect cooked food without hassle, only downside is some drivers use push bikes..
The best thing about deliveroo is you can contact the driver directly & every delivery has a number you give the driver to ensure its you. also if you have amazon prime can get deliveroo plus for free = free delivery on orders over 25

Just eat - is good but the moment you got an issue Just-ear is a nightmare to get hold of and very much the opposite to PayPal. Restaurant always win.

So in summary never use uber-eats, just eat only if its only avaliable their, deliveroo for anything else

Only sidenote is for large chains like MCD/KFC just-eat is often cheaper as they have contracts for deals

one thingto be aware of
95% of drivers are idiots
just eat support are mostly following a script and never listen. to the point i was on the phone for over a hour with them, got so bored of going around in circles i said i'm surely one of your vip customers, based on my order amount & said fine ill go elsewhere... 2 minutes later got my money back & got 20 gift card...
Deliveroo support seems very good
Love to know why everyone is laughing at my post i thought it was pretty informative :D i knowi order far to much more but on a health kick atm ordering less & dropped 7KG in 1 month :)

to add to this @BowdonUK ordered food tonight via JE its been an hour and yet to assign a driver to my delivery yet...
you cannot contact via phone it just says go to the site & cuts you off the site doesn't give you live chat anymore or anyway to contact only via 48 hour snail mail..

its happened quite a few times recently, i think im going to avoid JE going forward

I was using food hub but the option to pay cash on delivery has been removed ? i'm not paying by card, ended up walking to a local Chinese last Sunday there not on any of the apps and it's cash only

bit of a trek but worked out about 7 quid cheaper than the app prices.

Sometimes I have to argue with Uber eats for a refund, other times they offer it instantly, I don't really know what changes each time!

so the over night i was waiting for a delivery driver to be assigned to my food order for 2 hours by JE. the restaurant had many orders awaiting to be made but awaiting drivers to be assigned it took them 2 HOURS to assign a rider
so I ordered the same food by Deliveroo was here is 30 minutes, then JE turned up as i finished... requested a refund from JE they said no.
told them its not good enough, told them many people on social media are complaining about the same issue on the same night & if you don't care about your customers i don't care about you & will close my account

ill just use Deliveroo or direct to restaurant, or be more healthy :D told them ill take my orders else where... if they care or not i dont care. if you not providing support i wont provide money
so yeh no longer recommend JE @BowdonUK

Just Eat are a shady company.

Their terms and conditions, whilst I'm guessing must be legal, are really borderline.

Good news is though, in my lifetime I ordered from them 3 times and was never charged, this was several years ago as well.

Don't ask me why I have no idea, why or how, but my card never got charged.

The third time I had an issue with the order, I got delivered an incorrect Pizza, and the Mrs couldn't eat it due to dietary requirements, just eat didn't want to know.

Oh well, they are probably £100 down so **** them.

I personally think all these food apps are pretty awful anyway, in principal as well as service, it encourages bad behaviours in my opinion.

Why is no one using Food Hub? That's what I use anyways, delivery always seems cheaper.

Second best website with Hub in its title for sure.
I tried a few times, but virtually none of the local places were using it. Just a couple of kebab places that I wouldn't order from anyway. I'll check it out again but the range has always been really poor. I'm not sure why if the fees are so much better for the restaurants, you'd think they'd jump at it.

Weirdly, near me they also tend to be the same price direct and on the delivery sites so there's no benefit to going direct.

Ah fair enough. In my area in the North East everything on Just Eat etc is also on this, so in that sense it's a none issue. They must have a stronger foothold different places.

For us, in Bristol, we tend to go to Deliveroo first as they have the better exclusives in the area (when it comes to sushi or pho and that's our usual takeaway at the moment) but we will check out UberEats because they tend to offer £15 off or 40% off fairly frequently.

Now I think about it...

Deliveroo: Takeaways
UberEats: Groceries.
JustEat: Never use them any more but I do still enjoy the Snoop Dogg advert... Miso Soup. Me so bossy. Me so Snoop.
