Probably police or ambulance. I'm good at keeping calm and usually successful in defusing situations before they get out of hand. Also, blood doesn't bother me.

You should come and work in custody, we get blood, wee, poo, sick, snot, tears, aggression, swearing, threats and violence all in one shift.

Sometimes all together.

I would choose Ambulance because I think this is what I would be best at and helping people is pretty rewarding.

I don't think I would have the sufficient physical strength to be a firefighter or policeman but I think I'd enjoy the latter if I could go straight to being a detective.

What do you do in custody?

I too have had jobs with all of the above at the same time. The smell never quite leaves you.

I think it's from a really bad tv show!

Get thee to a nunnery!

I'm not sure which emergency service, I'm squeamish around blood (I was the one in every biology class who ends up racing to the toilet when they do the dissection), so that rules out Ambulance unless a non front line job, I'm more likely to accidentally start a fire than put it out, and I don't think I could cope with the stuff the police put up with on a daily basis. I know I certainly wouldn't have the patience to deal with the sort of idiots they have to.

Police - Already done 18years as a RAF Police NCO including 7years as a Police Dog Handler so time for a change.

Fire - Already done that covering for fire crews on strike (was part of the entry teams so not manning a green goddess)

Ambulance - Apart from first aid and team medic training this is the only one left for me if I was able to (now classed as 50% disabled). Plus might make the old man proud after he served on the London Ambulance Service for 29years

I was a scab fire fighter for a while when they had all the big strikes down in London and enjoyed the job so it would probably be that first, Police second and Ambulance a long way after that as my bedside manner sucks!

Ambulance.

I wouldn't join the Rozzers for any amount of money (down with authority, etc etc!), and i'm scared of heights so that's Fire out.

is the poll right?

Nope.

In the United Kingdom there are four emergency services which maintain full-time Emergency Control Centres (ECC), to which 999 emergency calls may be directly routed by emergency operators in telephone company Operator Assistance Centres (OAC). These services are as follows, listed in the order of percentage of calls received:[1]

Police
Ambulance service
Fire Brigade
Coastguard

Fire without a doubt. I don't think I could put up with what police and paramedics have to deal with from some people. Calls could potentially be incredibly disturbing along with dealing with time wasters.

Police. Already work for them anyway.

Ambulance service would be really interesting too, did consider it at one point but it wasn't what my heart was set on.
