Poll: Which emergency service?

I'd prefer the role that would let me genuinely help people so I would pick ambulance. The police are far to handicapped and the fire service is to inactive, and thankfully so.

Ambulance > Fire > Police

I vote fire.

Purely because I reckon that one has the least interaction with the general public. Every tv show which involves the emergency services dealing with joe bloggs makes me want to tear my eyes out. How they have the patience to deal with the public day in, day out is beyond me, but all credit to them.

Absolute balls! Sorry, but the only reason I can think of, is that the pole itself is structurally ruined.

I voted Police, because I wouldn't be the greatest at height (fire) and wouldn't particularly enjoy seeing someone in agony (ambulance), but I'd happily do any of them if I had to.

I read a near hit a couple of months a go, a FF had gone down a pole, landed awkwardly and twisted his ankle. 4 weeks off work. I think they're quite rarely used these days.

Not having the Coastguard as an option as we don't all live by the sea is a poor excuse for missing out an important emergency service. We live on an island after all.

I was under the impression that you don't get go choose where you go for national service. I can't do any of your other options as I live in a village with no hospital, police or fire station or emergency call centre.

Can i be excused? I have a note from my doctor
