I currently have a 250GB Maxtor One Touch External hard drive (desktop, not "portable") that's served me very well over the last 2 years but today it got full so I looked at getting a 1TB version. I then found out they aren't on sale anymore due to having been bought by Seagate.
I like the fact that Maxtor Manager does a complete backup first time round (few hours) and on susbsequent backups (when I feel like it), it automatically just synchronises to backup only new files, taking less time. Maxtor Manager backs up program files as well.
So, essentially I am looking for something else with similar functionality. So far, the Seagate equivalent is what I will be considering: http://www.seagate.com/www/en-gb/products/external/freeagent/desktop-hard-drive/
Any opinions on that one or any other suggestions? £60/70 tops.
