Just putting together my order for the PC-7 (black... Mmm or should I go Silver :/ - KB/Mouse are black of course ) and wondering if I should order a fan controller and if so which one.. The Lian Li one is out of stock so a non-option.

I made my own from a Zalman and spare Lian-Li bezel.

Considered the T-balancer, not quite a visual solution but much more useful than most.

I'd noticed that you liked that although the idea of something front panel appeals. However if you can give a good reason not to use one I might consider it.. out of the front panel options which do you think is best Yewen?

Akasa 03 is the best, and yeh I like the knobs to turn and everything.

If you want one like that then the Akasa offering is the best I have used, the internal option however is much more versatile, but nobody really ever needs it over the basic variable resistor style control of the speed.

The only thing you may have trouble finding are the rubber grommets. I took some off a spare Lian Li drive converter i had (one that allows you to have 3.5" drives in the 5.25" bays).

Well just come across this, don't know if it's any good, but would suit my system perfect if it is, reviews seem good.

Cooler MP-TC08 DigitalDoc5
8x sensors start up to 8 fans + 1x builtin 4cm fan - Cream

looks like it's only cream though :(

don't know if Yewen has used these but would be interesting to know what they are like if he has.

The Vantec Nexus range of fan controllers are great. Good build quality and can be had for around £12 :)

They also come in different sizes for 3.5" or 5.25" drivebays

Sorry to resurrect an old topic but I figured it would be better than creating a new one about a similar subject.

I'm after a fan controller for my Antec P150 but I need something that I could mod to incorporate a nice white finish - something that would key in with my case and not look out of place.

I was thinking about getting the Akasa Pro with the interchangeable bezels and making a white fascia to fit behind one of the acrylic covers, but wondered if it's overkill for my needs. I've got a 120mm Amber, two 92mm Ambers and a Freezer 64 Pro - would it be beneficial to connect all four up to a fan controller or do I just need one for the three case fans?

Not overkill at all! Just assign one fan to each port! You have more control this way.

For example, you may want the fan infront of the hd to be faster than your other intake fan, and etc etc

Google sunbeam robheus too, it looks nice to mod!

Thanks for the reply, Noni. I've had a look at the Sunbeam and it looks nice but has an Aluminium front which sort of puts me off with regard to modding/painting.

Any other suggestions?

Simple.

Use a proper fan controller.

The T-Balancer, 10x more control than most, stop fans completely in some models and it does not need to be seen.

Google it, and OcUK sell one :)
