Also, why is the title "should" you support? Should you move and support another club near where you now live? Should you *have* to support your most local team?

Well generally you would support the nearest team because of travel/money costs, back before football was on tv, now all you have to do is get sky, sign up to the clubs tv channel and buy the newest shirt ever season. Job done.
 
I travel up to Sheffield for every home game Cheets. People can you know, travel to games home or away.

You "shouldn't" support your local team, you are free to support whomever you want, if you're willing to put the effort in to see them every so often and support them the best you can.
