Which game really shows graphics?

I agree with Uncharted on the PS3, i do own a 360, but never played Gears of war, so cant really comment on it. But GT5P and Uncharted are what i would probably say as the best for graphics.

Opening scene where he's walking onto the command deck, Fantastic scene and looks great.
I agree, awesome scene. Still, Mass Effect is nowhere near a graphical showcase for the 360. Remove the glitches and it might be possible to consider it, although I still think closed environments will always come out on top when looking for pure eye candy.

anything on PC, since PC graphics are way better than anything i seen wii, xbox 360 or PS3, if i had to say something on consoles i would say PS3: GT5 though its still jaggy in places and on xbox 360, proberbly lost oddesey, graphics on that are very good, but if you want best graphics period, crysis PC without a doubt

also uncharted, im abit against saying thats best on PS3 for the simple fact is yeah the water is great, explosions are fine and character models are fairly good but the textures are pretty poor at times, especially vegetation is very jaggy, i thought these next generation consoles were meant to have some power under the hoods? (PS3 owner by the way)

haze hahaha

actually i got haze as a gift from a friend and it was totally SLATED by reviews, but i must say its not all that bad, graphics aren't the best but there not the worse either, for example ironman on both PS3 and xbox 360 looks dreadful, the gameplay of haze isn't all bad either, its very halo-esque at times, though vehicles are pretty awful so far, not sure why it got so slated?

/agreed, I felt the same, it's just a shame most people are blinded by useless reviews!

the thing i would improve most about haze is resolution, it seems pretty low resolution compaired to some games, but as i have said halo wasn't the best looking game but it was brilliant for its gameplay :)

Also I found the story intriguing; particularly the twist at the end. It would make a good Paul Verhoven movie in a similar style to the way he made starship troopers.

haven't got that far into the game yet so ill keep playing through it now, also in terms of under-rated games, im still in love with crysis, i mean god its the best looking game well...ever, plus i liked the story and enjoyed the aliens at the end, even found the core quite an enjoyable level :) but visually its stunning, been messing with more custom settings

i have to disagree with all the uncharted votes, it looks nice but is very garish a lot of the time and a fair bit of tearing and sharp-edge glitches... would maybe have been a lot better with some top-end AA but the system wouldn't cope i assume...

i'd say COD4... a truly spectacular example of using a lower res to its full advantage and turning it from a negative to a positive ;)

Only if yo notice them, i have not noticed anything but slowdowns at some points at the moment, looks spectacular.

If I had the hardware to run it at that level of detail i'd buy the game and would enjoy it. My pc is only a few years old and it's a shame many users cannot experience crysis in its full glory. I hope the new Nvidia cards finally allow very high settings to be selected and run at a consistent frame rate.

Sorry but tbh you FAIL I have both games on the PS3 and COD4 on the PS3 has some god awful low res textures in it. COD4 on the PC does look amazing but on PS3 its not in the same league graphically as the PC version take a look at the weapons on the wall in the armoury at the star of the game they look like they were taken on an early camera phone then transferred to a zx spectrum.

Uncharted however is totally stunning, some of the level sizes and level design are awesome and unless youve completed the game you cant really comment (forgive me if you have). You are the only person i have heard ever say a bad thing thing about uncharted's graphics maybe its just you :P (Joking) Being Serious here but maybe your TV isnt set up correctly?

i agree with him on uncharted, it is jaggy and needs some serious AA, plus the textures are pretty poor at times, though the game itself is brilliant (gameplay) and the levels are pretty good, playing uncharted on samsung 1080P TV using HDMI, but maybe since im mostly a PC gamer that uses AA, maybe its more noticable i dunno

Yes.

Couldn't get into it, not because of the glitches but because it's not my type of game, it did attract me enough to at least give it a try. Regardless of that fact, the game does have problems with it's visuals to make it stand out for the wrong reasons.

But anyway, I could just as easily see what ME has to offer without ever playing it. The 'have you actually played the game?' argument seems to get used a little too often around here.
