Currently using some Goldring DR-150's myself.

Looking at upgrading soon, So thought I'd ask what others prefer and are using for there gaming needs.

I currently have the Sennheiser PC350 Xense Edition headset.

They're a bit knackered so I was going to get a new headset but I'm opting for some proper headphones instead as I don't use the microphone much.

As for a headset replacement for a reasonable price I've heard the SteelSeries 7H is very good, though I suspect it won't be Sennheiser sort of quality.

I do most of my listening with a set of Harmon Kardon Soundsticks III speakers.

So for a headset I don't have anything too special, because I would rather use my speakers most of the time.

Its a Turtle Beach PX3 wireless headset, it does the job for me and its comfortable. I'm very tidy when it comes to my pc desk so not having wires trailing everywhere is a boon.

Got a pair of astro a40s can't fault them. Great headset.

Another Wireless Astro a40 user here, had them 2 years even paid for extra warrantly and never needed them cracking headset, wireless mix amp eat batterys though. The mixamp is easily the best thing about it as it turns any headset wireless in effect, so if the a40 headset isn't audiophile enough for you pick a pair up of your desired cans up and connect through the mixamp.

SteelSeries 7H look good but are flawed design. I've had two sets and both have had sound faults on the right side due to the snap together fitment.

I decided to not waste any more money and just bought the Beyer MMX 300.

Perfect!

2nd set of TB PX21s, the first pair decided to disintegrate on my head after only 6 months of use, and the only reason I got another pair was they were going cheap at the time and I really like the sound and bass quality of them.

Later in the year I might splash out for a much better headset/headphones so no doubt there will be a recommendation thread coming later this year :D

Love this ANC system !!!! Its my I DONT GIVE A **** button.
When i play games i dont answer doors or phone cause i Play gaames so **** off :D

I've got these as well, never really use the ANC button though as it reduces bass a bit and the sound feels a bit off. Other than that they've been quality so far.

Sennheiser PC163D for every day gaming as they are light on the head and easy to forget your wearing combined with a decent mic and sound quality that while not in audiophile league is good enough not to find anything objectionable with and can pick out sound detail, etc. that most headsets like those made by plantronics, razer, etc. just don't do.

Sennheiser PC333D - for shorter periods of competitive gaming, etc. the extra mic functionality is really handy to have.

I've got the Asus Vulcan ANC's. I ordered them on impulse on a daily deal @ £48 and I have got to admit that they have far exceeded my expectations.
