I have plenty of female vocalists in my mp3 player but only ones in genuinely enjoy.

As said previously, not many female artists in the biggest genres I tend to listen to.

I'd guess that the music I like is more male dominated but there's a question for fans about whether you'd pick groups like Paramore or The Distillers as male or female, the majority of members are male but there's a female lead vocalist - what is their sound?

Personally I'd say that was female.. female guitar players could sound exactly the same as male guitar players, but singers - not so much.

I clicked male, partly it's a feature of the genres I listen to (alt rock/metal etc) but I thought about this one recently and think I just generally prefer the sound of a male voice. Don't know why though!

Just did the same, 15 male (although one does have a female bassist who sings vocals as well )
