Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card for a gaming system and have up to £180 to spend,

I upgraded pretty much the whole system recently but the GPU (MSI GTX 660 twin frozr) i bought was faulty and had to be rma'd.

I wouldn't mind getting another GTX 660 but i really am not sure if it is the best bang for my buck, i was looking at the HD7850 and that seems pretty good also ;)

basically if you were me and you had the choice of any GPU in that range which is

a) the best card

b) the best performance per £

my current system is

i5 3570k
ATI HD 4870
Gigabyte Z77 D3H
8gb corsair vengeance
ZT 550w ocz

Thanks loads! in advance for any advice i really cant decide, i spend so much time sifting through the different options i need help. :)

+1 for the 7850, great card for the money and even if you just use the ccc to overclock you will get massive gains. Best performance per pound right now

Thanks for all your response so far please keep them coming i am interested in all opinions :)

I like the idea of the MSI 7850 as i can crossfire the ATI card at a later date for added performance when the cards drop in price, as my board doesn't support SLI

I saw this card pop up several times

is it really worth the extra £10, the main different i can see is it runs cooler and is slightly higher overclocked am i missing somethign is it worth it? :)

The HD 7850 2GB @ £149.99 is epic value, also I have seen some GTX 660's crepping down to £165, the decent PCB ones aswell. If you can find a good deal on a 660 I would go for that, otherwise can't go wrong with a HD 7850 2GB...

+2 7850. :)

Edit : having seen some of the 660 reviews, now I'm not so sure. :/

From the benches I've seen, the 7850 loses badly to th 660 in some games. And at best is equal to it.

Would seem that the 660 is the better card, from where I'm sitting at least.

They probably didn't overclock it much in the review. The 7850 value for money comes from its overclocking headroom.
