Which gpu waterblock to go with my ek360 performance kit.

Hi all

I have a evga gtx1080 sc which i believe is a reference design. Am i right in thinking i need a copper based water block for the gpu and if so which one do i need. Also do you get everything you need with the gpu block or do i have to buy extras to add it to my loop.

Also does any one know if the gpu block is to wide to fit into a lian li dynamic case, I have heard sometimes you can not get the side window on with a gpu block installed

You will also need x2 compression fittings as you did for the rad ect

I have been on there..it does not tell you which kit you can use them with. There is about 10 choices for my card...

EVGA GTX 1080SC uses the reference PCB, so can use the common reference block for that. Overclockers have these two for FE PCB:

Then just pick up a pair of compression fittings based on your tubing, based on this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-w...watercooling-kit-3830046996244-wc-9m5-ek.html it will be EK-ACF Fitting 10/16mm x 2 your after. Overclockers do not seem to stock them so look elsewhere I suppose if you want to match the finish of your other fittings. so i guess it does not have to be a copper gpu block...was worried about which one to get because i thought you was not supposed to mix metals in a watercooling loop.

Those nickle blocks are actually copper and have a thin layer of nickle applied. But regardless nickle plated and copper is fine to go together, they sit close on the anodic index . Its Aluminium which is the one you want to avoid mixing things with, its why EK has a gaming fluid line which they literally have sitting separately and have warnings for in regards to mixing.
