i had a 290x in my pc. i had to sell it to make some money. i have a really cheap card at the moment. i want to put in a 7970 or a 280x. i do a bit of gaming. nothing to heavy and think these are still ok card? or does anyone have any other suggestions. looking to spend around £90/£100
 
you seem to have the right idea, i can't see other options, maybe 770, but i think 280x would be cheaper
 
went with an asus direct cu 7970 from the mm for £80. never seen a direct cu in the flesh before. big solid piece of kit. works a treat on armoured warfare at ultra settings and is dead quiet.
