My current setup is an ATI Sapphire X1900 XT-X 512MB on a Gigabyte GA_965P_DQ6 motherboard. This currently has 2 monitors attached to it. I have however got a 3rd one sat at home doing nothing which I would also like to use.

Now, what would people recommend? Should I just get an old PCI graphics card for the 3rd monitor? I was thinking about upgrading my current card and using that for my 3rd monitor, would this be possible with my current setup? Would I have issues due to drivers etc? If it is possible what new card would people recommend for gaming? :)

you mean 3 monitors displaying the same thing? cant see any problems with a new card displaying on 2 so you can use the 2nd card to display on the 3rd.

I'm not sure what card though? i thought it was any card that had 2 dvi connections?

for a second i thought the thread title was "Which graphics card for 3d monitor" :o

Not three monitors showing the same thing, the desktop is extended over the three monitors. The question is, if I just get a 2nd card, for example the new range of ATI cards when they come out or the new NVidia cards, will I have driver issues?

if you went crossfire witth your x1900 i think you could have three monitors i think

as for a different ati card there may be conflicts but it may work

have heard nvidia and ati cards dont get along in the same box
