Which GTX780?

I am fond of all asus dcu2 cards. Would love to see a matrix platinum one day.

I would get a gtx 780 now as I do favor Nvidia cards but this 7970 matrix platinum has got me.

I totally love it especially at night.;)

I have 2 of them (paid £519 each on release) and I love them. In fact I love them that much the price drop hasnt bothered me as I have had loads of fun with them and Im content with the horsepower they provide

Great, look forward to receiving :)

P.S. I didn't go for the windforce as silence is preferred :)

Good choice, that card with 3 games, great deal.

Cheers, it seemed like too good an offer to refuse. I wanted the games bundle anyway but was going to hold off in the hope prices might also drop before the offer ran out...hadn't expected it to happen quite as soon as day one though!

well windforce is now out of stock so wont be getting that one lol what are the KAF2 like?

I was swithering about for paying a bit more for the KFA2 HOF or the Classified but when I saw there was only a handful of Windforce cards left it helped focus my mind :D

I'm not going to go overboard with OCing so I think it was the right choice for me and £400 was what I'd set aside so I'm more or less living within my means.

Hope you enjoy whichever card you decide upon. There are plenty of good ones to choose from :)

I'm tempted by the Gigabyte Windforce card also. Had Windforce 670s for a while so I know the cooler isn't the best or quietest but it's not too bad. Plus I've got a Gigabyte motherboard, so it sorta feel right.

Although the MSI Gaming card does look nice and so does the EVGA.
Annoying thing with the MSI is that I believe it's supposed to work better with an MSI Gaming motherboard, so then I'd just be annoyed I didn't have one of them!

I'm thinking about getting the EVGA 780 SC, with the price drop it puts them right into my upper end budget. Failing the long haired general saying yes to that I'm going for the SC 770. Can't believe some of the price drops.

Happy Josh

i was actually wanting to buy this card and have read quite a few reviews on it. i bought the Asus DCU2 instead. it's cooler, quieter and clocks better consistently on all reviews but of course EVGA is good as well.

just thought i share my experience with you.

one quick thing and im not sure if im alllowed to ask this so if im not sorry mods and please remove if its not allowed

but how much do you reckon i could sell my Asus Direct CUII GTX 580 for its the 1.5Gb version had it for nearly 2 years now

I have the Evga Sc in my basket. Not pressed buy yet. Is it a good choice?
The shader clock is a lot lower than others.

Oh also its ref design so water blocks is easy

Would anyone recommend the Titan/stock cooler over the custom coolers?

I have a Corsair 650D with cooler master 200mm fans front and top (1 in 1 out) and a corsair AF120 rear fan for out at the back. With the Noctua D14 cpu cooler my i7 (at 4.4) runs nice and cool (35 idle).

I was wondering if dumping the heat into this case would be ok or would the stock cooler would be better idea?

Cheers.

I really like my Stock cooler 780 in my 350D, it looks brilliant, performs well enough for me on a moderate over clock, and is really nice and quiet. Its the best stock HSF ever made, especially after my stock 7970 from launch which was so loud and hot it made me not want to use it!

I am wondering the same. My classic Lian Li is not the best performer and so is the reference cooler the best option for getting heat out of the case?
