Which hard drive?

Hey,

Need a hard drive for using for backing up my data.

Which one out of the two shall I get, there the same price but which one is better?

Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 NCQ 80GB 6V080E0 SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-095-MD)

or

Samsung SpinPoint P HD080HJ 80GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-023-SA)

Get the Samsung as Maxtors have quality issues.

Only had 1 maxtor fail, but they are generally in the top spot, but at a cost. Maxtors are too noisy, they make more noise then my raptor, and in terms of exceptable noise levels, its debatable.

I'd opt for something else.

Personally i'd choose anything else over a maxtor nowadays.
