Which Hard Drive ?

K, so I wanna get my secondary hard drive, but I'm a little confused.
First one that I'm getting if Raptor 74GB
Second I want Caviar 250 GB for storage, but there's 2 kinds Sata and Ide, what's the difference ?

IDE or Parallel ATA is the older form of connecting devices like hard disks etc. to the motherboard and has been around for ages, SATA or serial ATA is the newer form that is superior and has a greater theoritical transfer speed limit etc..

The Raptor is SATA so your board needs to support it or you need to get a SATA controller card if it dosen't
