which hard drive

my current hard drives are full and I need a new one.
I havnt had a new hard drive for a year now so am not sure whats the best sort.
my current ones are:
2x seagate 7200.10 320gbs SATA2
1x maxtor 250gb IDE
1x samsung 250gb IDE

my only real needs are that it must be 500gb or bigger and must be sata2
no raptors please

a quiet drive is preferred

my samsung is quiet but it is slow (I put this down t othe IDE interface)
the samsung 750gb f1 is on sale this week. is the price worth it oer the normal 500gb samsung?

yeah go for it - Bargain IMO. 32MB of cache too.

You might have to format it overnight though

Wil lhave a think they look good and google showed some good reviews.

Got the Western Digital WD5000AAKS - very quiet drive.

From what I've read they're apparently faster than the Samsungs.
