Yeah 12k isn't good S3 money last time I looked.

You'd be better off with an A3 2.0T quattro at that price point I would have thought.

I think its too much because imo you're very close to a decent s3 for that money, which is a better car (except the noise).

The last of the a3 3.2's would be a smarter buy if the engine was the key driver behind buying it

Fair point. Didn't think you could get an S3 for 12k though. Not really a fan of Audi either. The 3.2 A3 is the same car (mechanically) as the R32, so that could be a cheaper option like you say.

12 probably isn't quite enough but 13/14 should be, which I'd pay rather than spending 12k on a scene tax r32 tbh
