My poor old 60Gb IBM drive is about to give up.
And i've seen that new drives in the 200-300ish GB range are a good price on OCUK, but which one to choose?

I've done some searching and was going to go for a 250Gb Barracuda 7200.10, but read thats its a bit hit and miss as to whether you get a nice quiet drive, or a noisy one...

Anyone got any opinions? IDE connection btw, on a RAID mainboard controller(i currently have a 10Gb drive for a bit of backup)

Samsung = Quiet but not the fastest
Seagate 7200.10 = Fastest (non Raptor/SCSI disk) + quiet*
Western Digital = Fast but not as fast as the 7200.10 and quiet but not quite as quiet as the Samsung

*if you get the pink glue ones, I just received 2 of these today and they're fine

Would fully recommend any of the above 3 types of drive.
