Which HDD is better?

If you're buying 2 and you're doing HD video editing am I right in assuming you plan to RAID 0 or 1 them?

If so I'd go for the Seagate's, they may have shorter warranty but are considerably cheaper and considerably faster (fastest HDD you can buy at the mo)

Someone in another thread was talking about 2 of those he'd RAID 0'ed and was getting ~347 MB/s read/write

........Why two 1TB drives when you can buy a 2TB drive for much less cost?

Thanks for the info and link, I'll digest it later.

I did think about the 2TB drives but I like having multiple drives for backup etc and if I'm moving files between partitions then it's quicker between 2 drives.

I won't be raiding them unless I get some more later on due to the reasons above, but thanks for the info on the Seagate :)

Strange they are only 2 years warranty now, they can't be too confident on their build quality (we now pay more and get less warranty!)

I'd go for the F3 due to it being over £20 cheaper. The speed difference between the 2 is probably going to be negligible in real-world usage scenarios.
