That bundle sounds like it will suit you perfectly.

The Caviar Greens are very good hard drives, and the OCZ Vertex 30GB is always one of the first to be recommended for 30GB SSDs.

Depending on how many programs you'd be wanting to put on the SSD you might be better off spending a bit more and getting a 64~GB one.
 
The problem at the moment is that the cost of the NAND memory used in SSDs is varying wildly; so the value of using an SSD is subsequently vary variable!

If you are happy with boot times of around 50 to 60 seconds then something like a sammy F3 (1 TB) would be ideal. If you really need sub-30 second boot times then a SSD is your only option.

Not sure which controller the Vertex SSDs use. Some are better than others...
 
I've read that on SSDs performace worsens over time. is this something I should be worried about?
If I install a new disk, what is the best software to clone my OS?
