I've put an order in last night for a new build (I7 4790/Gigabyte 970) however it turns out that the WD Blue 1tb that I ordered is out of stock and as such I would like to replace it with something else. I have also purchased a Crucial MX100 250gb ssd which will be home to the OS and also my main games and applications.
I wanted the additional hdd as a storage drive with the possibility of a few programmes and applications if (when) the ssd overflows. I wanted to steer clear of seagate as I have had some issues in the past with them and would prefer to go WD (unless someone wants to convince me otherwise).
Would a WD red or green be a good option as a storage drive or? I'm thinking of something in the region of 2tb perhaps? I do understand that red's are predominantly intended for NAS use but I was thinking it may still be fine for my uses.
