Hi All after a little advice at the moment im running one a X2 4400+ with the amd heat sink and my temps are very high imo at 25 idle 44C load
what heat sink would be better looking at a Thermalright XP-90 is this a good choice or is there anything better out there but dont want a loud noise either from a big fans on the heat sink lol i know some of the fans i tried before can be loud :)
lookforward to your ideas guys cheers
see my sig for specs cheers

I would'nt call 25 idle/44 load as hot. Maybe warm.

I have an SI-120 with a 120mm Thermaltake Thunderblade blue led fan and it provides excellent cooling. You might want to get a quieter 120mm fan to go on it or a fan controller as i have. I would have got the Big Typhoon at the time but it was not in stock anywhere. I would go for the Typhoon now OCUK sells it. Cheap, one of the best performing, and quiet.

Easy to install? Without upsetting or removing the motherboard?

If you want cheap/ good performing/ quite, AND a doddle to install take a look at the Arctic Freezer 64 Pro too. :)

EDIT: The Arctic clips on and doesn't use a backplate........so no removing of the mobo needed. :)

thanks for the info guys and also for my other system bought he Typhoon
so i will see which one performs best and then but the better one in my gaming machine cheers all
i hope i will be happy lol

Used both and the typhoon was a couple of C's lower although the pain in the ass fitment of the typhoon made me wonder if it was worth it. Both are excellent coolers and there is little to choose between them. For the price and ease of fitment (unless you want the absolute best) then I would go for the freezer pro.

I keep seeing reviews of the vapochill micro's that suggest that have really good performance for the price/weight/noise/ease of fitting etc.

Don't see them mentioned much round here though?

As mentioned 25C/44C isn't bad at all. What's the ambient temperature in your room?
You're not gonna see a lot lower than that using air.

i love to have those temps you got shifter :)

the temps i get is like 37-44 idle and on load i get high 40's, i have an XP-120 as well, but the heating in my room can not be controlled, the heating is on, and the room temp is really hot...

I've just recently got myself an XP-120, and i cannot reccomend it enough :)

It's keeping things a fair bit cooler compared to my Akasa EVO-33, and you also have the fact that there's a 120mm fan on there, so it's basically silent cooling ;) Getting good temps even with the 120mm sitting at 800rpm :)
