As title...

Am looking for a new GPU card with an HDMI output for an HTPC....

So which highend nvidia GPU cards come with an HDMI output ??? (I don't want an ATI/AMD card)
Needs to fast enough for gaming at 1080p..

I don't think there's any ATM. The new GX2 is set to have one though if you can wait a few weeks.

Any reason you can't use DVI=>HDMI?

This maybe to long (big) for HTPC case

(The case am thinking is the Antec Fusion HTPC Case )

Yeah, but any card capable of gaming decently is going to be of a similar size.

On the audio thing, I'm not sure, but I think even the GX2 doesn't route audio via HDMI. It's got a separate Optical output. Similar to the ATI arrangement, you may need an adaptor to feed audio via HDMI.

I had the same issue and instead of waiting around for ages for the "right" HTPC Gaming card, just bought a Sony AV receiver instead. Works fine with the GTX and on-board optical with only one HDMi running to TV.

I only want to plug it striaght into my plasma...(Am going be getting an AV receiver & speakers most likely end of summer)

I may order one of these and see if it does have an HDMI output

Gainward GeForce 9600 GT 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail

All the images I've seen to date show 2 x DVI and S-Video, no HDMI.

have a look through http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17844022 The retail pack looks like it's got a DVI=> HDMI adaptor in it.

The gainward variant might have an HDMI port but my GTX was advertised as "HDMI" and it can use it, by DVI conversion!

yes but he said highend NVIDIA and the answer to that is NONE have.
NO HDMI PORT
NO SOUND OUTPUT VIA HDMI
my card outputs via dvi via hdmi adapter to my plasma and works fine but its not NVIDIA
shame that.....!

Looks like this 9600GT does come with a cable to link the audio through the HDMI in the box :) (the thin black cable)
DVI-I and HDTV Out port. Signal can be connected via HDMI through the provided DVI->HDMI converter. Audio from sound card can be channeled to the DVI->HDMI by connecting the audio line provided in the package

chapparal,

Having searched around it seems that the single slot cooled 9600's have 2x dvi's and the breakout socket as per usual but the dual slot Gainward shown above and the premium Golden Sample from Gainward have two dvi sockets, an optical out, a display port and and HDMI port too:

Haven't seen a backplate pic of the standard dual slot Gainward but a top down image of the card seems to show that it might have identical connectors.

Maybe send a webnote to OCUK to confirm... indeed Gibbo may be able to confirm here on the forums at some point.
