ive been looking to do a few certificates in my year off uni, it was ment to be a placement year but i ended up not getting one so i thought id just get the year off, here are some ideas ...

C&G Cert IT Systems Support- PC Maintenance (which i need to go on the A+ courcse)
A+
CISCO CCNA
IT Essentials CISCO
OCR Advanced IT Essentials For Technicians Using Microsoft Windows & Linux
OCR Level 3 Networking For Network Technicians (which is roughly or is the the same as cisco ccna but i need my A+)

any more ideas ??

networking mainly, servers, exchange anything realy , im on a computer forensics course but i want to have more of a networking understanding and this year out should help that

Well you need to really get something like an MCSE under your belt. A lot fo the stuff you've suggested I wouldn't bother with if you're doing a degree related to Computing..

If you have a computing degree, along with..

CCNA
MCSE
ITIL

You're in a very solid position, as long as you have some experience, even if you don't, they'll still put you in good steed.

Do you mean a CompTIA A+? If so, you don't need anything else to do the course do you? I've got a A+ and it was painfully boring!
i was just reading of what ive heard and copying in the course titles from the colleges around me.... looks like am gonna have to gun for those 3 suggested then,
i dont need anything extra for the course, am just wanting some extra guns in the cv, as some of my course mates got a placement where as i didnt .... so am trying to get some sort of extra training like they will be getting.
