at the mo i have a 7900gt 512mb, but want something better for not a lot of money.

i would like to know if i'd be better of keeping the 7900 or getting one of these two.

ati x1900xtx 512mb

or

ati hd3850 256mb

any thoughts will be very welcome.

what res is your monitor running at and what is the use of the card/pc?

the 3850 is the more powerful card

Not really sure, but i wouldn't think that either would be a worthwhile upgrade from the 7900GT. The better option would be to save up and get the 8800GT or 8800GTS in my opinion.

Go for the 3850 512mb, you'll notice a HUGE jump in performance over the 7900GT

my monitor res is 1280x1024 and my pc is used for gaming, at the mo i'm playin cod4, gears of war and crysis(which is abit of a killer) running it on med/low settings and the screen res is 1024x768, avg fps is 30 which aint good enough for my liking.
