i have a old 32 lcd tv with a dvi connection or a 19 inch lcd with a hdmi connection obvisoly the hdmi will look better just wondering which one you guys would use

Not really. They're both digital connections, HDMI just carries sound and video, DVI is just video.

DVI and HDMI carry identical image signals.

As stated above, HDMI also carried audio, this is the only difference.

Is this for a games console? (with it being in consoles section?) a 19" monitor will probably be 16:10 rather then the TV standard of 16:9 so I would favour the TV
