Ok so obviously it depends on the amount of data transferred, but for your average phone photo, which would be the cheapest solution?

Dont use my phone for sending images much so dont know first hand but if anyone else has an idea would be cool

ta :)

If you've not got flat rate data, most operators charge £2.35/MB. MMS are usually in the region of 25p.

A photo might be 100k. So either 25p or 23.5p. Not much difference. If you're on flat rate data (usually £7.50pm) then obviously e-mail wins.

Watch out though - MMS usually compresses the image further. You won't normally notice on a phone's screen, but it's noticeable on a computer screen.

Hmm, I've been sent reasonable quality MMS with 640x480 photos, and they look sharp to me on the PC (considering its camera phone).

I know o2 and t-mobile do bolt-ons/extras that you can pay per month that gives you a certain number of mms per month, but I haven't looked into it as I tend to email my photos to my mates, as its free on my mobile. I have a flat data rate which I use to wap and and use my phone as a modem its pretty reliable and a great way of staying on line if you at different addresses each night.
