Hi,

I have overclocked my Q6600 to 3.05ghz (not ambitious) & all is fine with the benchmarks etc. I would just like to know which prog to trust, I run coretemp & it tells me I have 50-60 under full load on prime 95 but everest ultimate tells me exactly 10C lower.

Assuming your Q6600 is a GO stepping version you will need to set core temps Tj Max to 95 for it to read the correct temps. Then it should be all set right and giving you the correct temps.

I set the TjMax in coretemp but its still 5C different to the temps in everest ultimate.....it's not a huge issue I just wanted the correct temps rather than the ones I want to see ;)

I'm using an ASUS P5Q-E with a Q6600 GO if that helps any.
