Guys, after my other lengthy thread, I've decided to just get a pre-build. I was all set to get THIS but decided to have a quick look at other options and then noticed THIS.

The second option gives a choice on what gfx card, I would probably go with the Geforce 570 or the Radeon 6970.

So basically the first option would be around £920 and the second option would be just over £200 more.

It is worth it? I've certainly got the cash, though I wouldn't want to waste money either.

only get the second system if you can take advantage of the HT on the 2600k.
if your just using it for gaming, then go for the first system. unless you do video encoding

also if youve really got the cash and get the firs system, i would go for the SLI option as it would mean it would be future proof for a good 5-6 years i reckon

EDIT: i would also drop an SSD in there and install the os on there and then make really fast and even more future proof.

He can put in the 2nd card in like 2 years if its required when prices have come down, right now theres no real need for crossfire 6970's or sli 570's

that 3rd system is good as it comes with a gtx580. but yet again it comes with a 2600k wich you wont need for gaming......
if only it came with a 2500k instead......
you could try ringing OC and getting them to swap the 570 in the first system and replacing it with a 580.
but i think that the 580 is defo going to be slightly better and if these get put in sli then they are beasts.

but i think the sensibl option is the first system and then dropping another 570 in later. i would also add the SSD in

wheres Stulid when you need him !

Could 2600 not become more relevant for gaming in the next year or 2?

I'm probably wanting to do 3D gaming too.

Will the Arkham system be ok for 3d? (I know I need glasses and a 120hz monitor, someone said you might need 2 570's tho)

if you really have the cash to invest in the future then by all means get the 2600k as things will take advantage of it the future.

and if you want to do 3d gaming then i would recommend SLI 570's or a you might get away with a 580

but yes the arkham one would be fine for 3d on lower settings but to truly max it then 2 570's will probbably be needed or maybe 2 580s but dont take my word for that.
might worth creating a quick post in the graphics card section to just clarify that

Is 4gb ok for gaming (including 3d gaming), or should I look at 8? I plan to upgrade to 8 at some point, but would be happy with 4 if it will do for now

I'm thinking now with a view to 3d gaming and the future, I should go with THIS

I couldn't really go wrong with that could I? And it would probably last longer than the Arhkam.

I would add 4gb RAM to it too at some point.

As long as there isn't anything glaringly obviously bad about this system, I think I might just order it!

I get that the i7 processor isn't necessary for gaming at the moment, but it might be more relevant later down the line.

you're already approching £1200 just go £1500 the 1 I linked to or I'll try again BUILD IT YOURSELF for cheaper(drop the mb down a bit as the m4e is overkill and end up with similar price to your last linked system..
