Which is the best OC pre-build for me?

Didn't realise that you can configure your own machines on OC and get it built by them. I've specced this for £1,288.70. I'm wanting it to last ages, with the possibility of adding another 580 in SLI :).

What do you guys make of it:

Intel 10200i Configurator - Extreme Gaming System

Happens a lot this does.

Nice specs good hardware but in a low end case. It's one of the best cases in its price bracket but I'd spend more and get a better case I'd also get a full tower case.

I'll have a look and see what other cases there are.

Something I haven't really considered too much though is the fact that I'm spending a lot of money on a gfx card that is about to be rendered obsolete...Should I wait until the 600 series is out or is there not much point?

The 580 seems to have been a flag ship card for a while now and seems to be approaching the end of its days as such.

if you can hold off then do, as when the new cards come out the 580 will be cheaper and if the 4xx to 5xx is anything to go by the 6xx card similar in power to the 580 will be the 2nd/3rd card down in the pecking order.

Any idea when the new series is likely to come out? I'm not hugely bothered about the 580 going down in price, more the fact that if I wait around a bit I might get something far better with more longetivity.

I don't mind waiting a month or so, but apparently the 6xx series has an official release around the Feb-April area.
