Well I have been looking at "Asus Rampage III Extreme Intel X58" and "Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 Intel X58" boards, don't realy like the look and the stats for the EVGA board, doesn't have the SATA III 6Gb/s controller which I need for game development, also atm harddrives are the bottlenecks for the high end PC and I am hoping the SATA III will speed things up.

Not really heard much on the EVGA boads but have a lot on the Asus Rampage III Extreme Intel X58 board, but its always best to wait for a while for things like issues etc to be ironed out before buying one.

Apart from that at least EVGA has the SATA connectors located away from the main PCI-E slot, man I hate boards that have connectors under main slots causing issues fitting cards.
