Which is the better SSD?

For a main gaming rig windows install

Both 120GB

Crucial M4 or OCZ Agility 3?

I'm having a hard time trying to decide whats what with them.

Also, can an SSD drive be fitted to a 7.25" bay so I can keep my intakes clear?

M4 has the better reputation and at £117 is a very tasty price.

I own the Force 3 when that was £120 (now £100) which is very similar to the agility and generally has been very good, though I have encountered a slight slow down on my mac recently which its in but I'm not worried about that right now (as its osx opposed to the drive).

Anyway M4 has the better reputation, just depends if you want to pay 20 quid for that reputation. (most people do and I would have if it had been today prices not February)

You mean 5.25 optical bay?

You can buy 3.5 to 5.25 adapters that have 2.5 mounts in them(akasa do one)

Not sure if that only goes into lian li cases though, but that's the general thing you're after.

Tbh though you don't need to mount an ssd normally, a lot of people use velcro pads to mount them anywhere. Mine just sit on the bottom of the case.

That's not the 6Gbps Agility 3.

Agility 3 6Gbps vs M4 6Gbps - This is a better comparison.

The last 13 or so tests indicate that the Agility 3 6Gbps is better in those areas but overall it's close.

To be honest plenty of people just stick them somewhere with velco strips or similar. They are so light and zero vibrations! Might save you some money on an adaptor

Do those not degrade the performance a bit? Considering if you put 2 in you're splitting the power?

Mine are hidden away with my removable trays, anyway.
