which is your favourite and why

CSI Miami was ridiculously cheesy, Miami was okay but didn't really get stuck into them, New York was the best and Criminal Minds? NO.
I stopped watching them all since I realised they're all complete bull crap and I have far surpassed the level of intelligence required to watch such nonsense.

Here's what I'm talking about:

6 seasons in and it's starting to get annoying. The product placement and the whole, 'oh I'm the best in the world and I scientifically rationalise everything to hide my feelings' attitude from temp kida gets old. Most of these shows are good for some mindless entertainment.

Criminal Minds is the best of the bunch as it doesn't really contain all the nonsense CSI and the others have, it's more serious and entertaining.

I lack the tech knowledge to know why this is funny and it makes me sad :(

It's supposed to be in real time so how the **** is a graphical user interface going to help in any way shape or form in the location of an ip address. Answer? It can't, doesn't or will ever. What would she have had the GUI look like? What would have been the functionality of any windows or text input areas and buttons she added to the GUI? She might as well have said "I'm going to walk out of shot and stick my head up my ass, because it will prove to be infinitely more useful than what I would have said about GUIs and tracking IPs".

Should have just said do a traceroute. It would have been more believable than GUI nonsense.

SILENCE!!!

Or I'll open up VB and place some buttons and a few text boxes.

This post made me laugh way more than the video :D

Yeah, maybe of late a bit but that often happens in American shows when they finally use up the 'will they/won't they' storyline they've been stringing along the whole time. Just look at Scrubs. Then they have nowhere to go. It's still my favourite American cop show (current), some episodes have been pretty epic.

On the flipside, I remember an episode of Morse that involved (as per usual) someone being bumped off who worked at a bank or something (I remember the sum was about 100k) and the killer was using the login credentials of the dead person to login and transfer money backwards and forwards, even dumping money in Morse's account in an effort to set him up.

Lewis said he knew a bit about computers and had a look and verified that the dead person was still logging in and transferring money. There was nothing ridiculously complex or pretentious about the scenes involving the use of computers so I didn't find myself shouting "oh **** off" at the TV when someone started talking about what they were doing with said computers.

I love those American cop shows. Blue Bloods, CSI, The Chicago Code, Criminal Minds, NCIS etc... but stuff like in the video above just proves how much crap they are usually filled with in order to wrap up a case. Especially the CSI type shows where they're like "I'll just zoom in here" and they zoom to a number plate from a satellite or something as ridiculous as that. :p

The other really really really bad one is the "spoon" and "enhance" scene.

Oooh I didn't even answer the question posed in the OP. :o

Out of those I'd say Criminal Minds, I used to be a bigger fan of CSI but admittedly it has become pretty farcical. Miami is my favourite of the CSI's but Criminal Minds is infinitely more entertaining and nowhere near as stupid. Plus Joe Montegna. :D

Never seen The Wire. I'll have to, I hear it's good. :)
