I'll be moving into my own apartment soon and I'm unsure of which ISP I should go for and was hoping for some recommendations. I'd like something around 20mb and just broadband, no phone packages or anything.

Any recommendations?

I'm not sure if Infinity can be ordered minus phone line but Virgin can, that's probably your best bet.

If you can go with Virgin and get there fibre optic cable then do that buddy.

Your best bet if you want to actually get the speed you pay for.

Despite the bad press they get in the news Im actually v happy with TalkTalk. Two weeks ago I got a letter saying they are going to speed up service in my area (I was on a 2MB connection but getting 1.5MB mostly)

Now its 11MB!!

Ok nowhere near what they get in Sweden and South Korea but whoa so nice to have YT and iPlayer vids load flawlessly :)

Yay!

I swear by Be if you can't get cable/fibre.

I don't! Service has been poor over the past couple of months, in particular since christmas, sluggggish DNS etc...

Lets just say I don't like moving ISP's and was with Be for approx 7 years then moved to BT Infinity

Sorry I should have put the postcode, B13QA.

Lots of options on the link Vader and Kia gave. Not sure what's best though. Unlimited downloads with 12 month contract would be ideal.

I,m the same was with Be 7 years too ,but lately as you mentioned the DNS servers are pants :( and service seems to be going down hill :( how do you find Infinity compared to Be ?

The following services are available in your location:

BT Wholesale ADSL
BT Wholesale ADSL Max
BT Wholesale WBC (21CN)
BT Wholesale SDSL
O2 / Be LLU
Bulldog LLU
TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU
Edge LLU
Pipex LLU
Entanet LLU

I would go with BT Infinity 2.

Again, he won't be able to get FTTC until 2013. Go with Be* or Virgin Media if they have a good reputation in the area.
