You can do stuff on the bus, read or listen to music or whatever. It might not be so bad.

do you want to get promoted and have the 1st as a career? if not take the 2nd one as a temp, use the extra hours you dont waste travelling on finding a career you want.

With the limited info available, option 1 sounds the better. Commuting isn't too bad, and it sure beats the hell out of doing a telesales job.

I'd take option 2 whilst desperately looking for something else.

£2k a year isn't worth it for losing 2 hours a day.

As mentioned, either take option 2 whilst you search something else or take option 1 and use the 50-60min bus ride each way to work via laptop or read or something.
