Which Karcher pressure washer?

Hope that Nilfisk Centennial is good as I just reserved one

I bought it a couple of months ago. It's excellent so far.

It has pretty much all the attachments you'll need to wash the car, patio (footpath) and any odd jobs.

The secret with the patio attachment is not to push down on it. Let it do all the work, if you push down you'll just rub the nozzles against the ground.

Don't use the cone nozzle on the car its too powerful, use the adjustable flat nozzle.

I also like that the motor stops when you're not using it.

I found the hose tidy useless. The hose is too thick to use it and it will retain a coiled shape which is just a pain. I just lightly coil it around the washer when I'm finish with it. The hose is much more manageable like that.

I bought an AA one off the bay for around £50 with the patio cleaner and dirt blaster type lance, doesn't do a bad job. It probably won't last as long as a more expensive water cooled (on some models) Karcher but it was cheaper to buy a cheap one than to hire one as it has already paid for itself. If the AA one hadn't been around I would have gone for a Karcher, probably a K2 for value for money and probably from Ideal World as they have some good package deals at times. I used to sell Karcher many years ago when I worked for Halfords so I know you can get some good deals at times as the accessories can cost quite a bit to buy in a retail outlet.

For cars a K2 will do just fine but try find one that comes with the wash brush as the detergent once applied to the car works best if agitated with the brush before jetting it all off.

Picked up Nilfisk Centennial last night, if you spend over £100 at Argos at the moment you get a voucher for £10 as well :)

Er no. That's the worst thing for a cars paintwork.

I didn't say put the detergent on first. You should jet off the loose dirt first, the agitating the detergent shifts the traffic film dirt that most likely won't shift purely from the detergent just sitting on the dirt.

I've got a K4.600
I bought it to clean the mud off my discovery after a weekends playing off road..
Strong, powerful and a decent flow rate.
Detergent mixer attachment allows addition of fluids into the stream so you can do various things with it.
I actually use the patio cleaner on the paintwork. :D
Kit comes with various attachments that reduce pressure for rinsing or full power rotary nozzle for the stubborn crap underneath.

Perfect..

The circular upside down cup thing?
I thought that was pants!
The rotary nozzle lance however.. that makes a much better job of things IMO

Upside down cup thing? The smaller one with the rotating brush? That's for windows.

The bigger one with two rotating high pressure nozzles and bristles is for patios and such.

My upside down cup thing is definitely for patios, I've seen a demo video of it. When I got it home though it was shockingly poor.

Once I'd attached the normal looking lance which has a pencil jet nozzle that rotates in a circle to create a wider over all jet (buzzes like an angry bee when in use) that not only cleaned the patio better but took out all the weeds from between the slabs (got me plastered in mud though :D)
