I'm looking to get a new laptop in the coming months, it would mostly be used for web browsing/image editing/music/basic gaming and ideally, an incredibly high resolution...
My choices are:
17" Macbook Pro
2.33ghz C2D, 2GB RAM, ATI X1600, 1680x1050 native, 100GB HDD.
Price: £1800ish.
OR.
15.4" Lenovo Z61P
2ghz C2D, 2GB RAM, ATI Mobility FireGL V5200, 1920x1200 native, 100GB HDD.
Price: £1400ish.
My pros and cons are all over the place, each laptop has its ups and downs (cracking native resolution, weaker CPU, etc) and i really cannot decide. I'm going to an Apple store tommorrow to look at a MBP but i have heard so many good things about Lenovo/IBM laptops i plan on buying it and sticking Vista Ultimate on if i went with that over the MBP.
The MBP looks better but i have read of lots of problems. The MBP comes with a one year warranty where as the Z61P comes with a three year. The Z61P has an insane resolution for a 15" screen whereas the MBP has a lower resolution for a larger (17") screen...
See my problem?!
Can anyone help sway my decision?
