Which large capacity HDD

My large capacity drive that I have paired with my SSD is filling up so I need to get a new one.

I want the biggest drive I can (as long as the price per GB is not stupid), but speed is important as well as I will run a lot of games off it. I've always bought Samsung drives so I've initially looked at those and I have it down to these two:

Samsung F3 1TB 7200rpm

Samsung F4 2TB 5400rpm

Which is the faster drive bearing in mind that the 2TB F4 has a higher platter density and which is the best buy? Is there another drive from another manufacturer I should consider?

I use F3's and F4's and can't say I notice a difference in day to day use.

Very impressed with both of them!

The F3 uses 500gb platters on a 7200rpm design.
The F4 uses 667gb platters on an 5400rpm design.
As such the data is read from the disk at roughly the same speed on both drives whilst the F4 uses ever so slightly less power.
Both have gone on "THIS WEEK ONLY" so work out to be excellent value for money.

Id personally go for the F4 due to the drive being based on newer tech and the fact you get a hell of a lot of storage for your money.

My F3 1TB's are a little faster than my F4 2TB according to HDTune and CrystalDiskMark, can't say I've noticed any real-world difference though!

Either will do.
