Well i have had a look but cant find a thread on this, Notice that quite a lot of people like looking at different bike helmets I for one like a nice designed one. pluss they change every year so new designs may not be on an old thread.

Pluss on a technical note, some find one lid uncomfy or noisy, this will help new buyers.

So what do you have?

I will start, I have a Caberg Trip, shown below same design. I cant comment on the noise yet as I have only used it in trainning and had a cracly radio in my ear.

Arai Quantum F, years old... and need replacing.

When I was trying on lids I didn't wanna spend that much, but was only one in shop that fitted, was almost £500 :(

It's v v v v v noisy though

I went for the Caberg since it has the flip chin bar, with me wearing spex I find it hard to get them to sit right one I put a lit on the Caberg lets me slip it on whilst wearing them, Pluss the sun visor inside makes me feel like Im "Maverick" LOL

X-Lite as well, great lid, no complaints. Sadly had to sell my bike when I moved house so it's not getting much use at the moment.

Shoei XR 1000

And

Arai Viper GT
(Cant find pic but its the sinister blue one)

Also got my old AGV S-4 in the loft if needed

See if your visor starts to mist up and you are too lazy to lift it, is it safe to use RainX on it?

I dont intend to jsut curious

I've got 2 Shoei Raid IIs.

One in black:

And a flowery one:

I find it nice having two lids so that I can put my cleaning squirt in one when I want to without having to think hmm am I riding tomorrow. I ride most days so it's handy. But mostly, I wanted the flowery one and couldnt stretch to it, bought the black one then found the flowery one half price so I bought that as well.

I really like them, but the visor mechanisms let them down I think. Nice and simple but they come loose to often so it doesn't shut/open as nice as it should, the 'half click' open thing rarely works on one and snapped on the other.

Not sure what I'll get next. Shoeis fit me great but the visor mechanisms really wind me up.

Girlfriend wears one of these:

A caberg V2... got it half price when we bought all her kit. I like it, the flip down visors in Cabergs are genius. Save you £30-40 right off the bat, as well as no hassle changing visors for weather/time of day. Don't like the straps though, I prefer D-rings to seatbelt buckle ones.

Arai RX7RR4 Doohan replica - One of the last ever made.

However the lid I use most of the time is my AGV Stealth Dragon.

ECE22.05 safety and ACU Gold standard approved too, not bad for £62.99 :D

This is what it looks like when clean:

Sorry for image quality, images were taken with my phone :(

Years ago i saw a Custom job, Guy had a skull painted on it with teeth at the jaw bar, and a hologram for the visor that were like the no fear eyes, was strange as hell

I've got an Arai RX7-GP with a black visor (bought it after some theiving git stole my RX7 Corsair)

It is noisy even when ducked down behind a screen, ear plugs are a must IMO.

It is very stable, I get very little buffeting compared to my really old Box lid.

I think the "Aero Wing" is very gimickey and don't really notice any difference.

Comfort wise there is very little between the GP and the corsair, both fit me perfectly (I did quite like the Shoei X spirit, but I couldn't get the small on my head and the medium was too loose).

I have a Shoei multi-tec... flip lid black with pinlock smoked visor
oh! and a shark s800,black with dark visor
shoei's noiseier than the shark with it being flip lid, but I always ride with ear plugs

bullit

Is there a proper name for the helmets that have 2 visors, with one tinted? Guess from the link, that shoei call it multitec, what do other manufacturers call that sort of a helmet?
