#5 for me, don't see the point in 2 res, it's just a way to keep the water a bit warmer as it's just sat there.

Reason for second res is using Mayhems Aurora Tharis red OR mayhems Pastel red with a bit of red dye in it, so more for aesthetics really which I should have mentioned in the op.
