so got new server up and running, and the corsair vx450w psu is got a noisy fan. could just replace the fan in it. but seeing how the system draws very little power, as in power on is biggest consumption my wall plug meter reads 115w and when at desktop and idle when drives have spun down its at around 45w. with drives spinning its around 67w
so even the 450w unit i got is overkill. are these any quiet psus in the low wattage region? something thats platinum rated so more efficient especially at the low wattages im running at?
even a 300w psu will be more than enough for my needs.
need low noise somthing that shuts its fan off on low loads or even fanless maybe? dont want to spend over the odds for a fanless unit if a on off fan model is considerably cheaper.
