Which makes the better track car

DC2 for a dedicated track car is a bit meh, it would be fine but with the heavy scene tax (y0), not only are they an expensive option to buy for the track, they are expensive to modify, too.

They are not great value unless you already knew you wanted a DC2, which you did not.

That said, if I were to buy a dedicated track car it would be between a 205GTi (Mi/S16), XR2 (ZVH) or an E36 328.

If you can find something already prepared then you are on to a winner, just do not pay over the odds for someone that has ripped the interior out in a ham fisted fashion.

All the goodness of a 172, but if its just a track car none of the road comforts (climate, leather, xenons, etc) that will just be adding weight or stripped out anyway.

Going to start tracking my 172 soon, although I cant afford to do all the mods I want to it so will be tracking a pretty much standard car to start with.
